Information

The TWAS-FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme awards postdoctoral fellowships to researchers from developing countries in the natural, applied and social sciences. Fellowships are hosted at institutions in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and last up to twelve months. Applicants must secure conditional acceptance from a supervisor at a São Paulo host institution and meet FAPESP postdoctoral requirements. Financial support and detailed conditions are specified in the Call for Proposals.

Eligibility

Candidates must be permanent residents and natives of a Developing Country, not hold a temporary or permanent residence visa in Brazil or any developed country, not be currently in Brazil, hold a doctorate (within seven years of the award), and have official acceptance by a supervisor at a host institution in the State of São Paulo; must meet FAPESP postdoctoral requirements and demonstrate English proficiency.

Application

Applicants must obtain a conditional acceptance letter from a potential supervisor in São Paulo. Supervisors submit an online Expression of Interest form; applications are submitted online to FAPESP per the Call for Proposals.
