CANEX Create-Thon 2026

The CANEX Create-Thon 2026 is a Pan-African creative technology competition designed to discover and showcase Africa’s next generation of innovators across Gaming, Video, and Music. Participants take part in a four-day build sprint using AI tools to transform ideas into working prototypes, with finalists showcased at CANEX Weekend 2026 in Lagos. The event offers a total prize pool of US$50,000 and mentorship from industry experts.

Cash prize awards from the US$50,000 prize pool; additional prizes for top submissions per country; mentorship from Gebeya’s DALA Studios network; continental exposure and visibility through CANEX and Afreximbank Innovation Lab.

Open to African creators, innovators and builders living on the continent and in the diaspora aged 18 years or older at the time of registration.

Register for CANEX Create-thon 2026, select a competition category (Gaming, Video, or Music), build an original project during the official sprint using DALA Studio tools, and submit a working project with a brief before the deadline.
