The World Food Prize is an international award recognizing individuals who have advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity, or availability of food. The 2026 prize carries a $500,000 award and is presented at the Laureate Award Ceremony in mid-October in conjunction with the Borlaug Dialogue international symposium. Nominations are submitted through an academic or organizational sponsor, and self-nominations are not accepted.
