Edital Conjunto nº 5/2026 — Observatório da Educação Especial Inclusiva (Obeduc-EI) / Rede Nacional de Educação Especial Inclusiva (Reneei)

The Edital Conjunto nº 5/2026 funds the implementation of the Observatório da Educação Especial Inclusiva (Obeduc-EI) as part of the Rede Nacional de Educação Especial Inclusiva (Reneei). It will support a national research network of public higher education institutions to monitor and generate indicators on inclusive special education, produce materials and trainings, and provide capacity building. The initiative provides resources for operating costs, capital expenditures and research scholarships over a 36-month period. CAPES will allocate monthly scholarship stipends for various researcher roles and levels.

Monthly CAPES scholarship stipends (stated amounts): Postdoctoral R$5,300; Doctoral R$3,100; General Coordinator / Master's R$2,100; Local Coordinator R$2,000; Research Professor R$1,800; Basic Education Teacher R$1,100; Undergraduate (Research Initiation) R$700. Project custeio and capital funding for network activities over 36 months.

Proposals must be submitted by faculty members or doctors linked to stricto sensu postgraduate programs in Education or Teaching at public Higher Education Institutions (IES) to represent their institution.

Proposals must be submitted exclusively through the CAPES Submission System (SiCapes) via the provided inscrição.capes.gov.br portal.
