Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist, or Postdoctoral Researcher (Quantum Information Physics Theory Research Team)

Multiple positions are available for Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist, or Postdoctoral Researcher in the Quantum Information Physics Theory Research Team at the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing. The roles involve theoretical research in quantum computing, superconducting qubits, quantum optics, photonics, machine learning, quantum open systems, and condensed matter physics. Appointments are fixed-term and renewable based on evaluation, with different contract length rules for the different ranks. Positions are based at RIKEN Wako Campus in Saitama, Japan.

Monthly salary (ranges stated above depending on rank), discretionary work allowance, commuting and housing allowances, social insurance, telecommuting system, and renewable fixed-term contract up to stated maximums.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, relevant experience in the team's research areas, an excellent publication record, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
