Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships at the University of Lausanne

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships enable foreign highly qualified researchers to pursue a doctoral degree or a postdoctoral research project hosted at the University of Lausanne. Successful applicants are hosted by a supervising professor at the university and carry out an original research project. The programme aims to promote international research collaboration and high-level academic exchanges in Switzerland.

Monthly stipend (1,920 CHF for PhD / 3,500 CHF for postdoc), health insurance coverage, return airfare, housing allowance, local transport card.

Foreign highly qualified researchers holding a Master or Doctorate; must obtain prior written confirmation from a supervising professor at the University of Lausanne; must not have resided in Switzerland for more than one year at the time of application.

Obtain written agreement from a University of Lausanne supervising professor, complete the official scholarship application form and submit the complete dossier via the competent Swiss diplomatic representation (embassy) for evaluation by academic committees.
