STARTS Prize Africa 2025

The STARTS Prize Africa 2025 is the Africa edition of the STARTS Prize, recognizing initiatives at the intersection of arts, science and technology with positive social or environmental impact. It invites a wide range of creative practices from individuals, groups or institutions across Africa to submit projects for consideration, with a prize pool of €30,000 and opportunities for exhibition and presentation at the Ars Electronica Festival. The prize ceremony and related events are part of Ars Electronica Festival 2025 in Linz, Austria.

The competition is open to citizens and residents of all African countries, as well as eligible entities registered on the continent; entries may be submitted by individuals, groups, legal entities or collaborations.
