Information

A paid software developer position within the CMS Trigger and Timing Control and Distribution System (TCDS) upgrade for the High-Luminosity LHC. The role involves designing and developing software for FPGA-based electronics platforms, contributing to DAQ test systems, CI/CD infrastructure, and commissioning the Phase-2 DAQ system. The appointment includes on-the-job and formal training and may be extended up to 36 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; excluded nationals (Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish) cannot be considered. By the application deadline applicants must hold a master’s degree with 2–6 years professional experience or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years professional experience; bachelor-only applicants are not eligible. Applicants must never have held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
