EJN Virtual Media Workshop on the 30x30 Target and Marine Protected Areas 2025

Two virtual media workshops for journalists in coastal countries globally, focusing on the 30x30 target and marine protected areas. The program covers topics ranging from marine spatial planning to reporting on conservation solutions, with sessions led by researchers, policymakers, and civil society. A final agenda will be shared with selected participants in February 2025. Benefits include stipends for limited access, a certificate of completion, and potential for a post-workshop story grant.

Applicants can be journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other media practitioners with experience covering ocean issues; open to freelance reporters and staff from all types of media organizations; women, rural, Indigenous and early-career journalists are encouraged.
