The Patrick Henry History Fellowship is a full-time residential fellowship at Washington College's Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience. It supports outstanding work on American history and culture by scholars and nonacademic authors, with the fellow teaching an undergraduate seminar and giving at least one public lecture or workshop during the year.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a significant ongoing project (e.g., book, film, oral history archive, podcast, museum exhibition) addressing the history or legacy of the U.S. founding era and/or founding ideas; published writers and established scholars are welcomed, with dissertations generally not considered.
