Information
Application of UV-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy in Nanomaterials Research is a short technical presentation covering fundamental principles and applications of ultraviolet–visible–near infrared spectroscopy for characterization of metallic and composite nanomaterials. The session addresses monitoring nanoparticle formation, evaluating colloidal stability, estimating optical band gaps, and examining effects of surface modification and chemical interactions. Key learning objectives include applying spectroscopic techniques to monitor synthesis and interpret spectral data for nanomaterial properties.
Benefits
Training in UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopic techniques for nanomaterials, ability to monitor nanoparticle synthesis and evaluate colloidal stability, and skills to interpret spectral data to estimate optical band gaps and assess surface modification effects.
