Traineeship in the Accounting Section

The Traineeship in the Accounting Section is a paid traineeship position within the Financial Accounting and Reporting Division of the European Central Bank (ECB). It offers a six-month initial traineeship (with possible extension to 12 months) involving hands-on experience in accounting tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, VAT and payroll/pension accounting and contributing to financial reporting processes. The role includes working with financial IT systems (e.g. SAP) and data analysis tools and is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Monthly trainee grant (€1,170) and an accommodation allowance; hands-on accounting experience within the ECB; multicultural team environment and professional development opportunities.

EU nationals eligible for the ECB traineeship programme; applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a relevant field and meet language requirements (advanced English and intermediate knowledge of another EU official language).
