Research Part-time Worker I or II (Data Assimilation Research Team, 26-1396)

A paid part-time research position within the Data Assimilation Research Team at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS). The role assists with the team's data assimilation research activities and is based at RIKEN Kobe Campus with some telecommuting permitted. The contract is a one-year fixed-term employment, renewable up to a maximum period described by RIKEN.

Hourly salary (ranges above); commuting allowance; worker’s accident compensation insurance; social insurance depending on conditions; paid leave (annual paid leave up to 20 days depending on conditions; special paid leave); other leave provisions (maternity, childcare, family nursing care).

Research Part-time Worker I: enrolled in a doctoral program or has equivalent knowledge/experience; Research Part-time Worker II: enrolled in a master’s program or has a high level of specialized knowledge or skills. Non‑Japanese applicants must, where stated, verify permission to engage in activity other than that permitted under their status of residence, must not hold concurrent positions outside RIKEN, and must work no more than 28 hours per week when applicable.
