Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) 2027/2028

The Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) is a government-funded scholarship programme administered by the China Scholarship Council for international students to study at Chinese universities. It offers opportunities at bachelor, master and doctoral levels as well as researcher and exchange scholar tracks, with language of instruction in Chinese or English depending on the programme. Funding and specific conditions vary by programme and by the Type A/Type B/Type C application route.

Tuition waiver; university accommodation or housing allowance; monthly stipend (guideline amounts listed by study level); comprehensive medical insurance; in some programmes international travel is included.

International students who are not Chinese nationals; eligibility varies by programme and level (bachelor, master, doctoral, general/senior scholar) and follows the conditions of each specific programme or host university.

Applicants create an account in the CSC application system, obtain the correct Agency Number from the embassy or host university, select Type A, Type B or Type C as instructed, upload required documents and submit via the CSC portal and/or the host university or embassy as specified.
