Fellowship in Outbreak Readiness for Global Health Protection (FOR-GHP) 2026

The Fellowship in Outbreak Readiness for Global Health Protection (FOR-GHP) 2026 is a funded programme by the German Federal Ministry of Health within the Global Health Protection Programme. It aims to strengthen public health structures in sub-Saharan Africa by enhancing outbreak management competencies, including One Health and global health security, through digital and in-person learning and simulation exercises. The fellowship covers three workshops with economy-class travel, visa fees and accommodation; meals are provided while no daily allowances are paid.

Economy-class airfare, visa fees, accommodation for three workshops, daily meals, and participation in a professional development programme with mentorship and knowledge exchange opportunities.

Applicants must be from and employed in sub-Saharan Africa, with at least two years of professional experience in public health or related biomedical fields, and must have endorsement from their current employer to attend the fellowship.
