Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships at the University of Geneva

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships enable outstanding foreign researchers and doctoral candidates to pursue research or a doctoral thesis at the University of Geneva. The programme requires prior sponsorship by a tenured professor at the University of Geneva. It provides financial support and related allowances to facilitate research stays in Switzerland. Applications are processed via the Swiss diplomatic representation in the applicant's country.

Monthly stipend, health insurance coverage, housing allowance and contribution for return airfare.

Foreign researchers, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers holding a recognised master's or doctoral degree who have obtained prior acceptance and sponsorship from a tenured professor at the University of Geneva.

Obtain prior sponsorship from a tenured professor at the University of Geneva; collect the official application dossier from the Swiss diplomatic representation in the applicant's country; submit the complete dossier to the local Swiss embassy or consulate within their deadlines.
