Information

A funded research/engineering position within the CMS collaboration at CERN focused on development of algorithms, firmware implementation and performance evaluation for the upgraded Level-1 (L1) trigger. The role involves FPGA firmware development, integration, hardware testing and collaboration with CMS L1 trigger groups, including presentation of results at meetings and conferences. The contract can be extended up to 36 months and includes supervision responsibilities.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (some nationalities currently not considered). By the application deadline, applicants must hold a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. Candidates must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
