Can we talk to animals? is a public lecture and panel event featuring Julie Elie, the 2026 winner of the Coller Dolittle Prize, presenting research on decoding zebra finch vocal communication followed by a panel on animal cognition, emotion, welfare and ethics. The event is hosted by the Jeremy Coller Centre for Animal Sentience within the LSE Philosophy department and includes international expert discussants. The session will be available both in-person on the LSE campus and via live stream on LSE Live.
