IKY Doctoral Scholarships for the European University Institute (2025-2026)

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) awards doctoral scholarships for Greek candidates to undertake doctoral studies at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence for the 2025-2026 academic year. Seven (7) scholarship positions are available across the EUI departments of History and Civilization, Political and Social Sciences, Law, and Economics. The scholarships are intended for candidates holding a master’s degree (or equivalent) who wish to join the EUI Doctoral Programme. The terms and conditions are governed by the programme regulation cited in the call.

Doctoral scholarship positions (seven available) including monthly financial allowances as specified in the programme call.

Greek citizens holding a tertiary degree and a master’s diploma (or equivalent) or enrolled in the final year of their master’s studies; candidates must not hold a doctoral degree and must meet other conditions listed (Greek tax number, military service status for males, restrictions on prior IKY doctoral funding).

Electronic submission to the EUI Doctoral Programme platform by 2025-01-31 (14:00 CET) and submission of a copy of the application and supporting documents to IKY by 2025-02-09.
