The National Program for Preparation and Qualification of New Teachers (Teacher Trainee) is a mandatory one-year professional preparation programme for newly recruited teachers in Kuwait. It combines theoretical training (45%) with school-based practical training (55%) and uses an electronic E-Portfolio to document progress. The programme aims to ensure new teachers attain required professional competencies before full appointment and sets a passing threshold of 75%.
