Information

The UQ Firebirds Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship awarded to commencing full-time students at The University of Queensland. The scholarship supports applicants who can demonstrate financial hardship and contribution to the netball community, including playing, coaching or volunteering. Up to four awards of $5,000 are provided for a duration of one year. Preference is given to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants, those from regional/rural/remote areas and first-in-family applicants.

Eligibility

Commencing students who will be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program who can demonstrate financial hardship and who have played netball for school or club, or contributed to netball through coaching or volunteering within the two years prior to the year of the award.

Application

Apply using the online application portal and upload required supporting documentation (e.g. evidence of financial hardship, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, regional/rural/remote residency) as requested.
