Medical Student Indigenous Scholarship

The Medical Student Indigenous Scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine at The University of Queensland. The scholarship is awarded for one year and is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme. It is intended to assist students experiencing financial hardship and recognize academic ability and leadership potential.

$5,000 stipend awarded for one year

Applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, demonstrate financial hardship, and be enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine at UQ.

Apply using the online application form. A single application will be considered for multiple related scholarship schemes; applicants may need to upload supporting documentation for financial circumstances, Indigenous status, academic achievement and community service or leadership.
