Information

The Meridian Urban Regional and Town Planning Scholarship for Indigenous Students is an undergraduate scholarship for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students studying regional, urban or town planning at the University of Queensland. The scholarship provides A$10,000 per year for a duration of four years. The number of awards may vary and recipients are chosen on the basis of financial need, personal qualities including leadership potential, and academic ability. The scholarship is maintained by an annual gift from Meridian Urban.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons who can demonstrate financial need and be enrolled in a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning or Bachelor of Urban Planning (including Honours) at UQ.

Application

Apply using the University of Queensland online application form and upload supporting documentation (proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status, evidence of financial need, and community service/leadership evidence). One application covers all scholarships in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme.
