UQ Ramsay Merit Scholarship

The UQ Ramsay Merit Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship supporting students undertaking an extended major in Western Civilisation at The University of Queensland. It provides financial support to academically high-achieving students who demonstrate community contribution, critical thinking and potential to contribute to discussion and debate. Awards are competitive and include an interview with the selection committee.

At least $20,000 per year; scholarship duration up to 3 years; up to 10 awards.

Applicants must be enrolled in either the Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours) with an extended major in Western Civilisation or the Bachelor of Humanities/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with an extended major in Western Civilisation; be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident; have successfully completed WCIV1000 and WCIV1100 as a full-time student; and be available for interview.

Submit a 1–2 page CV, respond to three selection-criteria questions (up to 2000 characters each) and a statement addressing any disadvantage if applicable, provide supporting evidence, and attend an interview if shortlisted.
