The Kathy Hirschfeld AM Scholarship Endowment for Women in Engineering is a one-year scholarship awarded to female domestic students enrolled full-time in the first year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering or a dual engineering program at The University of Queensland. The scholarship is aimed at supporting diversity and students experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship was established in 2019 and is maintained by an endowed gift from Kathy Hirschfeld OAM under the Create Change Scholarship Match Initiative.

Benefits

Monetary award of at least $4,500 for one year.

Eligibility

Female domestic students enrolled full-time in the first year of the specified Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering or dual engineering programs who can demonstrate financial hardship and do not hold a similar scholarship as deemed by the Associate Dean.

Application

Apply using the University of Queensland online application form; applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, most recent Year 12 report card and evidence of financial hardship. Shortlisted applicants may be interviewed.
