Work//Shift Fellowship 2027

The Work//Shift Fellowship is a 12-month funded programme for gig workers, freelancers, and independent contractors who want to reimagine the future of work. Fellows participate in shared learning, collaboration, and exploration of new protections for nontraditional workers, with a $30,000 award and additional mentorship and training opportunities.

Stipend of $30,000 for 12 months, mentorship from CFJ leadership, monthly online training, access to a global network, and alumni network membership

Freelancers, gig workers, artists, caregivers, domestic workers, independent contractors, and those who are US-based or have significant lived experience in US gig work.

Submit online application between 8 September – 26 October 2026; interviews in November; decisions announced in December 2026.
