Focal award: EPSRC and MHCLG Fire Engineering Skills Hub

The Focal award: EPSRC and MHCLG Fire Engineering Skills Hub is a funding opportunity to establish a skills hub that delivers cohort-based doctoral training and designs high-quality postgraduate taught programmes in fire engineering. The award supports consortia led by higher education institutions and encourages industry and public-sector project partners to contribute to training, placements and co-supervision.

Funding to establish a skills hub that delivers cohort-based doctoral studentships and develops level 7 (or equivalent) postgraduate taught courses and continuing professional development training; opportunities for placements, co-supervision and access to partner facilities as described in applications.

Lead organisations may act as the grant holder and must provide the principal base (host) for a minimum of one doctoral student per year of intake. organisations can only be lead on one application but may be collaborating organisations or project partners on multiple applications.

Submit an expression of interest by the stated deadline, then submit a full application through the UKRI Funding Service if invited; applications must be led by a higher education institution and may form consortia with collaborating organisations and project partners.
