Projects Peer Review Panel (PPRP) 2027

The Projects Peer Review Panel (PPRP) is a funding route operated by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) for large or complex research projects in particle physics, nuclear physics, astronomy, particle astrophysics, accelerator physics and computing for the PPAN programme. It supports activities such as participation in high-priority experiments or missions, development of instruments or accelerator technologies, major computing facilities and operation of existing facilities. Projects are reviewed in frequent PPRP rounds and funding is provided at agreed full economic cost levels.

Research grant funding covering 80% of full economic cost for large or complex projects; project duration as required to deliver the project.

Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for STFC funding and must have been invited to submit a full proposal following a successful Statement of Interest (SoI) and approval by programme managers. Only the lead research organisation can submit an application.

Applicants must be invited following a successful Statement of Interest and approved by programme managers; the project lead completes and submits the application on the UKRI Funding Service (lead organisation submits).
