MRC Equip: Purchase mid-range equipment for biomedical research

MRC Equip is a funding opportunity to purchase mid-range capital equipment that enables and enhances biomedical research across the Medical Research Council (MRC) remit. Awards fund equipment requests between £200,000 and £1,000,000 and MRC will fund up to 100% of the full economic cost. Projects must have a duration of seven months with a start date of 2027-06-01. The primary purpose of the equipment must be biomedical research within MRC remit.

Capital equipment funding contribution of £200,000–£1,000,000; up to 100% of full economic cost covered by MRC.

Applicants must be a researcher or research technical professional employed by a UK research organisation eligible for MRC funding. International researchers may participate as project co-leads where eligible, but project leads must be based at eligible UK research organisations (with specified exceptions for certain MRC Units).
