The Problem Validator

The Problem Validator is a short, module-based validation course offered by Innovate@BU that helps participants identify and test real problems before building a product. Across five short modules, participants break a broad interest area into investigable pieces, test assumptions against evidence, and hear from founders and alumni who have done the validation process. Participants finish with a concrete problem statement, a personalized summary, and an action plan suitable for further innovation programs.

Completion yields a specific problem statement, a personalized summary, and an action plan; participants also hear mentorship-style insights from founders and alumni.

Open to students and early-stage founders; participants may include students who arrive with an idea or those who come with curiosity about a space.
