Information

The Nyerere Scholarship provides funding for a Tanzanian graduate to undertake the MSc in Africa and International Development at the University of Edinburgh. It covers tuition fees and an annual UKRI-rate stipend for a one-year postgraduate programme. The scholarship is awarded to academically gifted candidates and supports study at Edinburgh with conditions on holding other funding.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens domiciled in Tanzania, must have graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam within the last three years or will graduate in 2025, and must have been accepted on the full-time MSc Africa and International Development programme.

Applicants must apply for admission to the University of Edinburgh; access to the scholarship application is via EUCLID/MyEd.
