Regional Governance, Peace and Security Advisor

The Regional Governance, Peace and Security Advisor is a professional position with the GIZ African Union programme, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role supports peace, security and governance policy development and institutional capacity within AU structures, including areas such as women and youth participation and governance reform. The contract runs from December 1, 2026 to April 30, 2030, and applications are open to AU Member State nationals.

Salary (paid position).

Open to nationals of AU Member States; requires a Master’s degree in political science, international relations, peace and conflict studies, law, governance or a related field and at least five years of professional experience in governance, peace and security or related areas.
