Biotechnology Innovation Competition

The Biotechnology Innovation Competition is a contest organized to encourage innovation and high-technology studies and to raise awareness across different fields of biotechnology. It is conducted under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and coordinated by the Directorate for Science and Society. The 2026 edition was organized in three categories: High School, University-Level Idea and University-Level Project, and requires that data, products and processes developed be based on biological systems. Teams that passed the Detailed Project Report stage qualified to present their projects to the evaluation jury at the Competition Finals.

Support for innovative biotechnology ideas (programme aims).

Open to high school, associate degree, bachelor’s degree and master’s degree students aged 14–30 studying in Türkiye or abroad; teams that successfully passed the Detailed Project Report stage qualified for the Competition Finals.
