Presidential Awards

The Presidential Awards recognize exceptional contributions by Duke University and Duke University Health System staff and faculty. The awards honor individuals and teams who exemplify Duke’s institutional values through outstanding contributions over the past year or through extraordinary service over a longer period. Winners are selected by the university president following committee recommendations and are celebrated at a campus ceremony and reception.

Full-time and part-time benefits-eligible employees (staff and faculty) of Duke University and Duke University Health System may be nominated; previous Presidential Award winners are not eligible. Any member of the Duke community may submit a nomination.

Nominations submitted via the online nomination form and require a 200-word written summary or a video/voice recording up to two minutes, and at least one letter of support (up to three letters accepted). Any member of the Duke community may submit nominations.
