Maria Ioannis Baganha Dissertation Award 2025

Open to all interested candidates regardless of institution. The Maria Ioannis Baganha Dissertation Award recognizes excellent PhD research in the field of migration studies and is associated with the IMISCOE network; the winner may have their dissertation published Open Access in the IMISCOE-Springer Research Series and may receive a cash prize for their university.

Cash prize (paid to a university institutional account) and Open Access publication in the IMISCOE-Springer Research Series; potential article publication in a related journal upon manuscript review.

Open to all interested candidates, whether based at an IMISCOE Member Institute or not; dissertations from all disciplines and methodologies are welcome; both monographs and article-based theses are accepted.

Submit a completed application form, a dissertation summary with keywords, the full PDF dissertation, CV, and a letter of recommendation by email to the IMISCOE Network Office.
