Indigenous Internship Program

The Indigenous Internship Program supports Indigenous interns across Canada to engage in marine and environmental research through funded research internships; it is facilitated by Mitacs in partnership with Clear Seas. The program aims to enable community-driven research, build capacity in Indigenous-led approaches to marine stewardship, and support career development in environmental fields. The 2025 cohort is noted as the largest to date, with applications accepted year-round and cohorts commencing in September.
