Patient-Oriented Research-Mitacs Fellowship Program 2025 (up to $50,000)

The POR-Mitacs Fellowship Program supports projects that integrate patient-oriented research (POR) principles and provide fellows with training, networking and mentoring opportunities to develop POR and professional skills across diverse career paths. It enables experiences that involve patients and diverse voices throughout the research process and offers capacity-building activities related to POR.

Fellowship stipend up to $50,000 with partner matching; additional $5,000 PASSERELLE supplement for capacity-building activities; networking and mentoring opportunities; experiential learning in POR.

Full-time undergraduate, college and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows from all disciplines, interested in POR, from an eligible Canadian academic institution; Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international students over the age of 18.
