Greater Omaha Packing Scholarship Program

The Greater Omaha Packing Scholarship Program provides scholarships awarded by Scholarship America to support the college or vocational education of dependents of eligible employees. The program offers a one-time award of $1,500 to each recipient, with up to sixteen awards granted each year; awards are for undergraduate and graduate study and are not renewable, though applicants may reapply in future years if still eligible.

Financial support in the form of a one-time scholarship award; consideration in the selection process based on academics, leadership, activities, work experience, goals, and circumstances.

Applicants must be children, age 25 and under, of full-time employees of the Greater Omaha Packing Company, Greater Omaha Express, Progressive Protein, or Heartland Protein with at least one year of employment as of the application deadline; high school seniors or graduates planning to enroll, or students already enrolled, in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year.
