Information
The Wadsworth African Fellowship provides funding for African doctoral students pursuing a PhD or equivalent at South African universities to receive international-level training in anthropology, including archaeology and biological anthropology. The fellowship includes a monetary award to cover travel, living expenses, tuition and related costs, with the possibility to renew for up to two additional years and additional dissertation write-up support.
Benefits
Annual stipend of $20,000, potential renewals for up to two additional years, possible dissertation write-up funding, coverage of eligible training-related costs.
Eligibility
Open to African scholars pursuing a doctoral degree in anthropology who are citizens and residents of an African country, and who have a host sponsor at a South African university.
