Lituanistic Studies for Teachers of Foreign Lithuanian Schools

Lituanistic Studies for Teachers of Foreign Lithuanian Schools is a short intensive study programme (approximately 15 calendar days) for teachers working in Lithuanian-language education institutions abroad. The programme aims to deepen participants' Lithuanian language skills, improve didactic and educational psychology competencies, and provide additional knowledge about Lithuanian culture, history and contemporary life. Courses are organized by Lithuanian universities and supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania.

15 calendar days of intensive lituanistic study; language skill development, didactics and educational psychology training, and additional knowledge about Lithuanian culture and history.

Teachers who are foreign Lithuanians working with preschool or school-age children and/or adults in Lithuanian-language education institutions (lituanistic schools) abroad. Target groups include emigrants (Lithuanian citizens living abroad for at least 3 years or former Lithuanian citizens) and foreigners of Lithuanian descent (with at least one parent or grandparent who is or was Lithuanian) who identify as Lithuanian.
