State Scholarships Foundation (IKY): “Nik. D. Chrysovérgis” Endowment Scholarships for Doctoral Studies (2025–2026)

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) awards six competitive doctoral scholarships from the income of the bequest "Nik. D. Chrysovergis" for the academic year 2025–2026. Scholarships fund full-time doctoral research in Greece or abroad in specified specialisations and have a defined start date and duration. Each scholarship has a monthly allowance and specific terms on eligibility, residence/registration and concurrent funding. The scholarships do not cover tuition fees.

Monthly stipend (€2,000/month abroad; €1,500/month in Greece) and a one-off €1,000 installation allowance for abroad placements; does not cover tuition.

Holders of a degree from a higher education institution with at least grade "Lian Kalos" (Very Good) who meet the cumulative general conditions of the call; applicants must be under 36 years of age (born 1989 or later) and meet specified taxable income limits for tax year 2023 (≤€16,000 single; ≤€32,000 married or family). Candidates must not already hold a doctorate or be enrolled in another doctoral thesis and must meet enrolment/acceptance and supervisory committee requirements specified in the call.
