SASUF Long-Term Mobility Grants 2026

The SASUF Long-Term Mobility Grants 2026 provide funded five-month research mobility for PhD students and early career researchers between South Africa and Sweden. The programme aims to strengthen academic networks, encourage international collaboration and support researchers in developing new skills and research ideas. Mobility is five full consecutive months, with funding covering maintenance, travel and eligible additional costs, and applicants must be affiliated with SASUF partner universities in either country.

PhD students and early career researchers at SASUF partner universities who wish to spend five months at a host university in the other country.

Submit an invitation letter from a supervisor at the proposed host university, a completed SASUF Long-Term Mobility application form, a confirmation letter from a supervisor/PI, CV with publications, and a motivation letter; all documents should be compiled into one PDF and emailed to the designated address.
