John J. Sweeney Scholarship

The John J. Sweeney Scholarship is a merit-based award for students offered and accepted to eligible full-time MSc or LLM programmes at Ulster University, Belfast. It is open to US citizens who meet union-related criteria and academic minimums. The scholarship provides funding towards tuition fees for successful applicants. Eligible programmes include several MSc and LLM courses in management, construction, business development, and human rights law.

$20,000 towards tuition fees

Applicants must be US citizens, have been offered and accepted a full-time place on an eligible MSc or LLM programme at Ulster University, hold a minimum GPA of 2.8, and meet at least one union-related criterion (be a US union member, have a familial connection to a US union member, or provide a reference letter from a US union sponsor).

Submit a completed online application form and provide required documents (transcripts, identity proof, admission/offer letter, references and other supporting documents as specified).
