Annual NYIPLEF Scholarship

The Annual NYIPLEF Scholarship is a monetary award for diverse law students enrolled in a J.D. or LL.M. program at an accredited law school in the New York area, including Connecticut and New Jersey. Awards are intended to be used for tuition and law school-related expenses and are granted at the sole discretion of NYIPLEF. Recipients are invited to be acknowledged at the New York Intellectual Property Law Association’s Annual Meeting Awards Dinner in May. The scholarship is intended for applicants who intend to pursue a full-time career in intellectual property law.

$10,000 scholarship for tuition and law school expenses; invitation and acknowledgment at NYIPLA’s Annual Meeting Awards Dinner in May.

Applicants must be diverse students currently enrolled in a J.D. or LL.M. program at an accredited law school in the New York area (including Connecticut and New Jersey), be in good academic standing, demonstrate intent to pursue a full-time career in intellectual property law, and have no family relationship to an officer or director of NYIPLEF.

Submit a professional resume, official transcripts, one letter of recommendation, a short essay (300-word maximum) answering a specified question and including contact details, and certification committing to use funds for tuition and law school-related expenses.
