Manufacturing Scale-up Network Plus

The Manufacturing Scale-up Network Plus is a UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funding opportunity to build a Network Plus that accelerates the scale-up of manufacturing innovation across automotive, aerospace and wider advanced manufacturing frontier industries. Projects may run for up to 60 months including a 12-month scoping phase and a 48-month network phase. The full economic cost of a project can be up to £5.63 million, with UKRI funding up to £4.5 million (80% of FEC).

Grant funding of up to £4.5 million (80% of FEC); project duration up to 60 months including scoping and network phases; support to convene stakeholders, hold a conference/showcase and undertake horizon-scanning and capability mapping.

Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding and have the capability to convene diverse, cross-sector stakeholders across the UK manufacturing ecosystem. Network Plus grants are open to UK higher education institutions, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations, eligible public sector research establishments and NHS bodies with research capacity. Businesses are not eligible as applicant organisations but may be project partners.

Eligible applicants must complete an Intent to Submit to be eligible to apply and then apply through UKRI's funding application process.
