United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa

The United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa is a fully funded training programme organized by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, in cooperation with Ethiopia, the African Union, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. It offers high-quality instruction on core subjects of international law and related regional topics, targeting qualified professionals to deepen their knowledge and the UN’s legal work. The course is conducted in English and held in Addis Ababa, with fellowship support for travel, accommodation, meals, medical insurance, and training materials for selected participants.

Travel, accommodation, meals, medical insurance, training materials, and a stipend for living expenses for fellowship recipients; limited self-funded spaces available.

Candidates must have a legal background with professional experience in international law and must be fluent in English; open to candidates from UN member states that are members of the African Group.
