UNDP Timbuktoo Pan-African MineTech Exploration Technology Pre-Incubation Programme 2026

The UNDP Timbuktoo Pan-African MineTech Exploration Technology Pre-Incubation Programme is a multi-country initiative that supports multidisciplinary teams to develop technology-enabled solutions for mineral exploration, mining, or related environmental activities. It provides technical mentorship, industry engagement, prototype development support, and entrepreneurship/ventures readiness assistance, with potential pathways to further incubation for high-potential projects.

Technical mentorship from experts; industry engagement and validation; prototype development support; entrepreneurship and venture readiness support; networking with mining stakeholders and investors; possible seed funding and progression to MineTech Hub incubation for high-potential teams.

Multidisciplinary teams of 2 to 5 members, all aged 18 to 35, based in Botswana, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Zambia or Zimbabwe, with at least two relevant disciplines and a clearly identified mineral exploration/mining problem and initial technology idea.
