Postdoctoral Researcher, Category Theoretical Physics RIKEN ECL Research Unit (26-1454)

A fixed-term postdoctoral researcher position in the Category Theoretical Physics RIKEN ECL Research Unit at the RIKEN Center for Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences (iTHEMS). The researcher will advance the JST PRESTO project "Lattice Construction of Quantum Phases via Higher Complete Sets" and work on topics including categorical and algebraic structures in quantum field theory, conformal and topological field theory, tensor network approaches to many-body systems, and related mathematical structures. The appointment is initially one year, renewable by evaluation, with work conducted at RIKEN Wako Campus and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within iTHEMS. Candidates may propose their own research themes that contribute to the Unit's goals.

Salary (base and variable), discretionary work allowance, commuting and housing allowances, social insurance, paid leave, maternity/childcare leave; eligibility to apply for MEXT Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI).

The candidate should possess a doctoral degree or be expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the starting date.
