Information

The University of Free State Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2025-2026 provides an opportunity for a doctoral graduate to conduct research and innovate at a higher education institution under mentorship. The fellowship is competitive and aims to produce scholarly outputs while based at the UFS in Bloemfontein for two years (2025–2026).

Benefits

Annual fellowship stipend of R 300,000; residential requirement (80% of the period based at UFS).

Eligibility

PhD in a relevant discipline within the last five years; fluent in English and French; residential fellowship requiring relocation to the UFS for 80% of the period; not holding full-time salaried employment during the fellowship.
