AI Journalism Labs 2025 at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY

AI Journalism Labs 2025 is a 3-month hybrid, tuition-free program for journalists to explore generative AI through theory and practice, with a seminar-and-lab format and a final capstone project overseen by a coach. The program is developed by J+ at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, with support from Microsoft, and aims to enhance understanding of AI in journalism and its ethical application.

Participants gain confidence in deploying AI tools ethically, access to seminars and hands-on sessions, support for a capstone project with coaching, and ongoing career development assistance.

Open to International applicants.

Submit a completed application with a resume, an idea for an AI challenge to research or experiment with, and contact information for two references; selected applicants will be interviewed before final decision.
